We will dive into practices around movement, mindset, nourishment, connection and create holistic foundational habits and routines that work for you. Through this 12-week program, you will have weekly 1-on-1 support, and a total of 8 virtual sessions. By the end of the 12 weeks, you will have established and practiced new sustainable habits, routines, and developed a heightened sense of awareness surrounding your mind, body, and spirit. This empowerment will have you leaving the coaching program with a new level of confidence on how to nourish your body on and off the plate. SUSTAINABILITY As these transformative changes take root, we will transition to the "sustainability phase". HI, I'M PRESLEY INTEGRATIVE NUTRITION HEALTH COACH, CAT LOVER, AND HOLISTIC CHEF Growing up, my earliest memories involve finding solace on the volleyball court at the age of 8 and relishing my time as a year-round athlete for 10 years. The court was the place I felt my happiest, and I grew to adore throughout my childhood. Around the same time, I developed an appreciation for my mother's cooking, regardless of the contents on my plate. Being a kid, I didn't consider the nutritional value of what I ate, instead I was focused on how I was going to evade the veggies on my plate. As an athlete, I always considered myself healthy. This perception persisted as I grew older, while I spent extensive hours in the gym each week, even leading up to 25-35 hours, on some weeks. I felt fortunate to lead such an active lifestyle until I began to notice a decline in my health at 16. These changes, I dismissed until they became impossible to ignore. In 2018, a few months after graduating from high school, my doctor revealed to me, that I had Hashimoto's Disease (Thyroiditis). This diagnosis shed light on the chronic insomnia, food allergies, fatigue, anxiety, and brain fog I had been experiencing for over two years. Little did I know, this was only the beginning of my walk with autoimmunity. 18 year-old me, followed the gluten-free diet recommended to me, but without the proper understanding and knowledge, I failed to fully grasp the importance of caring for my body and hormones, leading to more bodily obstruction in the years to come. Fast forward to 2021, I found myself living the typical college lifestyle. While outwardly it seemed like I was thriving, internally I was unknowingly neglecting my health in ways that wouldn't manifest until much later. My sleep was suffering, my gut microbiome was nearly being destroyed with excessive alcohol consumption, processed foods, stress, and antibiotic use when I had an infection. This way of life wasn’t viable for my health, and the consequences of the way I was treating and speaking to my body finally caught up to me. In the summer of 2021, I began experiencing agonizing stomach pain that would land me in the hospital for weeks at a time. In addition to the gastrointestinal pain I was feeling, I began to experience near-fainting episodes that left me disabled and calling for medical attention. Following numerous tests and procedures, I received my second and third autoimmune disease diagnosis - Crohn's Disease (IBD), and Dysautonomia (POTS). Though I was initially relieved to have an explanation for my suffering and years-long tummy issues, I would come to find out that the relief would become a fleeting feeling. In the months that followed, I realized that the conventional treatment plans offered to me would not be sustainable. Through searching for multiple doctors to properly treat my diagnosis, being dismissed, and prescriptions that came with an illness of their own, I began to consider alternative approaches to my healing. I felt exhausted with battling multiple chronic illnesses, making the hospital and ER a second home, and I refused to accept that this was simply my fate, as told by my doctors. In 2022, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery unlike any before. Through introspection, research, and education, I finally began to stumble upon the healing I had been seeking. I took a deep dive into nutritional therapy, explored the mind-body connection, nurtured my spirituality, and released past traumas. By understanding my body, adopting a tailored nutritional plan, redefining my spirituality, and refusing to live in survival mode any longer, I achieved remission from my autoimmune diseases in 2023. Through achieving what I was told wasn’t possible by professionals, I knew there had to be a deeper purpose behind my own health obstacles. In a pivotal decision, I enrolled as a student at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) with the intention of gaining a higher understanding of whole-body health for myself, and others. In December 2023, after intensive training and coursework, I graduated from IIN and became a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. CO NVENTIO NAL MEDICINE FAILED ME, AND MY GOAL IS FOR IT TO NOT FAIL YOU TOO - DR. AMY MYERS Today, I am living my most joyful life in Houston, TX, feeling fulfillment in my coaching practice, taking joy in the outdoors, spending lots of time in the kitchen, and continuing for further my expertise and education as a health coach by pursuing a health sciences degree, to help my clients live their most healthy and abundant lives. During this transformative experience, I learned about the power of the body’s ability to heal itself. True change occurs when we make sustainable changes to our lifestyle that align with our daily intentions. I believe by looking through a holistic lens, we can achieve an overall radiant well-being by nurturing all areas of our life. As I navigated the challenges of my own health journey, I discovered a gift that came with the tribulations - my desire to want to empower, and uplift others in their own journey. This desire inspired me to create Radiance Wellness, a space where individuals with similar mindsets can feel empowered on their unique paths to wellness. My goal is to empower you to make small but meaningful changes, while equipping you with the proper tools to allow you to live your most radiant life.
